Bare Bones: A Sporadic Blog

So Much for Weekly Updates

So I haven't held true to my promise of updating weekly. But the reason for that is that I've been incredibly busy, so that's a decent excuse?

On top of personal work, like pieces to add to my portfolio/ practice digital painting and a comic or two, my list of projects is growing and I couldn't be happier about it. Here are some updates!

My second round of proofs for the JanuMurray books arrived, and with one last edit I approved them for the final print job! They are scheduled to arrive this Friday, so keep en eye out for the launching of my shop where you can get your own signed, numbered copy! Seriously, Fireball Printing is a really awesome company to work with.

I've also been working on a few little calls for art here and there. Here's a little preview of something I'm working on - but I'll share more details later on.

I also teamed up with a little publisher in Brisbane: Tiny Owl Workshop. I'm illustrating a few stories for them and I'm really excited about it! I can't share too much just yet, as I'm still in the rough draft stage, but I can't wait to get moving on the final art soon.

I'm also working on some public art projects, including painting a sculpture for the Bel Air Library and a mural for Eden Mill Nature Center (in addition to planning several art programs as part of their Art Team).

I'm painting something to donate to a fundraiser held by the Metta Integrative Wellness Center in Hampden, Baltimore. You can get more info on Facebook event page and learn about their mission on their website.

I teamed up with a super awesome chick, Siobhan O'Loughlin, to work on a web comic project based on her experiences as a nanny in New York. Her stories are really sweet and funny and really enjoyable to illustrate. I can't wait to launch the site!

A little snippet of one of the first comics. Prepare for lots of cute children.

I have a couple of other things going on here and there, but I'll be sure to update. Life is so exciting!
